Target

  1. To enhance students' basic competency in English.
  2. To enhance students' four English language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing.
  3. To help to develop students generic skills - collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, numeracy, self management, informative technology and study skills.

Phonics

A phonics programme has been implemented in the P.1 classes in this school year. Different learning activities were designed to help students learn the 42 letter sounds of English.

Reading Programme

Every week, P.2 to P.4 students have a double lesson to read in small ability groups. Each group reads books that suit the groups level with English teacher and NET teacher.

Writing Programme

P.5 and P.6 continue the writing programme that was developed last year with the EDB. The programme is extended to other levels in the school.
